Many of our clients have liked their Tactical Link slings (until recently designed exclusively for rifles) so much that they’ve asked us to develop slings for their other weapons systems too; like their shotguns and launchers. So we did.
We’ve recently rolled out some new and innovative products that enable you to use one sling on a variety of weapons including the M4, shotgun, and launcher. This has many benefits:
-
Creates training consistency for the individual officer because you can train with and use one sling (regardless of weapon) instead of different slings.
-
Creates training consistency for the entire team, police department or military unit because the same sling system can be used for everyone. In other words, if Officer A can pick up Officer B’s weapon and use it as effectively as his own weapon.
-
Decreases overall costs because you don’t have to outfit each weapon with a dedicated sling. Instead, one sling can be issued to each operator.
-
By issuing one sling to each operator it allows multiple users to share the same weapon.
-
Allows weapon storage without the slings, which eliminates slings getting tangled up.
Imagine how simple it can be to switch between weapons… No more wrestling or fighting your gear. Keep the sling on and simply disconnect your rifle from your sling and plug it in to your shotgun or launcher – all within seconds. Simple as that.
How did we do this? We developed sling mounts for the M4, shotguns, and launchers that are compatible with our Stealth Slings and Infidel Slings that enable you to retain your sling on your person. When these slings are paired up with these sling mounts it gives you one sling system allowing you to use the same sling on a variety of weapons.

There are three slings that make up the Stealth Series. Each of
these slings is a highly dynamic single point tactical sling with unequalled
performance and a unique set of benefits to its user. Therefore, one should
choose based on the intended use or application.
The Stealth
Sling is the ultimate in high-speed low-drag tactical slings. It is a
simple, fast, and no-nonsense single point tactical sling with our
swivel connector permanently attached. We offer this model without a
Quick-Release Buckle, which provides unmatched weapon retention for those who
do not need a quick-release mechanism as part of their weapon system.
For those that need a Quick-Release Buckle as part of their
weapon system, we offer two slings: the
Stealth-QRB Sling and the
Stealth-Universal Sling. While functionally identical, there is one
important physical difference: the swivel connector is permanently sewn into
the Stealth-QRB Sling and can not be removed. In contrast, the swivel connector
(or any other sling mounting hardware) is removable with the Stealth-Universal
Sling. The Stealth-Universal Sling was designed with a patented Secure
Enclosure System (SES) to be universally adaptable to virtually any long arm
because sometimes one needs to modify the sling/mount setup as conditions and
missions change. This provides the benefit of intra- and inter-weapon
adaptability which is not found in any other tactical sling.
The essential difference between the Stealth-QRB and
Stealth-Universal slings centers on the issue of weapon adaptability. For
example, one should choose the Stealth-QRB Sling if the sling will be dedicated
to the same weapon and the user does not need to modify the sling/mount setup.
In contrast, the Stealth-Universal Sling would be the better choice if 1) the
same type of sling must be used among different team members and/or between
different makes/models of weapons (i.e. changing from an M4 to a Remington 870)
or 2) one anticipates the need to modify the sling/mount setup on the same
weapon (i.e. changing from our
X-180 to our
V-LR) mount.

Yes; this combination is called a Ready Set™. Where able, we have
combined all the necessary components that one needs to be “operational” into a
Ready Set. This allows our customers to source one vendor for both
tactical slings and mounts, saving time and money.

There are different types of slings; three-point,
two-point, and single point slings. Three-point
slings typically attach near the forward end of the weapon and at the buttstock
end of the weapon and wrap around the user’s upper body. Single point slings also
wrap around the chest of its user but attach at a single point on the weapon.
By design, single point slings are much more maneuverable and offer many more
tactical advantages than multiple-point models. This is one reason why
single point slings are gaining popularity in the high-speed, close-quarter
tactical communities. Some of these advantages are listed below:
-
Single point slings are safer. Using a single point sling enables you to reduce
exposure of your vitals to a potential threat while engaging that threat around
a corner simply by transitioning the primary weapon to the optimal shoulder,
thus gaining a tactical advantage and ensuring a safer outcome.
-
Single point slings are faster. Being more maneuverable, you can move more quickly
and accurately without the entanglements of the multiple-point models. The
ability to react faster is vital in close-quarter environments because a
fraction of a second can mean the difference between life and death.
-
Single point slings allow you to transition the primary weapon from shoulder to
shoulder easily, silently, and quickly. This is not a feature found in
multiple-point slings.
-
Single point slings allow you to transition to your secondary weapon. Our
single point tactical slings allow you to transition to your secondary weapon by
letting go of the primary weapon (into Position Sul) and completing your draw
without contact or interference from the primary weapon because the primary
weapon is supported in a completely vertical position. This is a feature not
commonly found in multiple-point slings.
