“I received the Stealth Ready Set from the NTOA for testing. I am a member of an emergency response team, and we just recently purchased some entry rifles. One of the members on our team already had purchased a Stealth sling for his rifle, so I was a little familiar with the sling. The installation for the Ready Set is very simple. It took about twenty minutes after reading the directions and sitting down to do it. It is a snap.
One of the features of the sling is the [swivel connector]. This feature is awesome. It allows the operator to remove the weapon and retain the sling. It also allows you to remove the weapon and put the weapon back on with only one hand. The sling mounts can also be placed on other weapons, which allow operators to switch weapons quickly and quietly with little effort.
While reading the instructions and doing a little research, I learned the slings are available in different colors, which is a great accessory. The sling also allows for smooth transitions between your long gun and handgun, plus the sling provides great weapon retention. Whoever designed the sling hit the nail on the head. “Your sling rocked because I could use it straight or shoot offhanded without changing anything. It is quick to rig up, extremely secure and simple to use. The construction is bulletproof and the design allows maximum access to my gear when worn. Using either the QR buckle or the mechanical stock release I was able to rapidly detach and reattach my weapon whenever I needed to and that is a huge benefit when getting in and out of vehicles, rappelling and even airborne operations. Target acquisition was always rapid when using the sling, and was never hindered by the sling becoming hung up on gear like other 3 point slings that I have used. It's a great product that I will continue to use on my primary weapon.”
