The Xanthos Lite was developed to give the end user a lightweight solution for the popular large frame 308 (LR308/SR-25) pattern of firearms. The Xanthos-Lite is geared towards the user who wants quality material, design, and functionality in a large frame build. The Xanthos Lite shares the common DPMS high standard for rail height, and will accept most accessories on the market including 6.5 creedmoor barrels. Because of the non standard state of the large frame market, some accessories may not be compatible with the Xanthos Lite Set. Although every effort has been made to make the Xanthos Lite Set as compatible as possible, the Xanthos Lite Set can not be guaranteed to work with all products on the market.

The lightening cuts on the top of the receiver feature a tapered design to give aftermarket rails a seamless look from receiver to rail. Features such as a tensioning screw, and screw in pin for the bolt release are also included. A generous magazine well aids in reloading. The Xanthos Lite is sold only as a matched set. Great matched set

I used this set to build a 6 lbs. AR10 .308. The weight is incredible, as well as the fit and finish. Wish I could post a picture of it resting on the scale. Nice quality and very user friendly.

less than expected

I purchased this billet set for my 6.5 Creedmoor project. Faxon 24in barrel, MI handguard, Vortex scope. A top reason for spending money on a billet is perfect fit. No play between upper and lower, no wobble. This set didn't meet that standard. Even adjusting the tension screw the upper and lower did not achieve that solid fit you expect. I have gotten most of the play out by fashioning a shim. But that shouldn't have been necessary. Otherwise, all the parts and pieces I bought worked, and the result should be fun to shoot at long range. I just can't give the set anything more than an average rating due to the importance I place on fit.

Q: This item you are presenting is what I am looking for in a lite weight .308 make up. The price is set for quality and design, but is it available in match grade complete low and upper combo???

A: To our knowledge the 2A Armament Xanthos Lite Billet Large Frame Upper/Lower Receiver Matched Set is not available in different grades as their products are ALWAYS top shelf, amazing quality products. Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: I'm new to the AR10 platform. All my experience is with AR15s. I'm interested in building a 6.5 Creedmoor. I think the Xanthos Lite (LR308/SR-25) would work, right? Put a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel with it...other AR10 components...Thanks in advance for your help.
