Great Charging Handle
First--Tactical Link has been great. Fast shipping and very professional. As for the product, this is my third SNACH. I love em. They are very robust and extremely well made. The design is to help mitigate gas in the face...which I will give you some caveats to that. If you are using a really old can or one that has super high back pressure, or if your gun is simply extremely over gassed, yes the charging handle will work but the rest of your gun sort of marginalizes it's real value. My guns are very balanced in gas and other aspects and my cans do not suffer from extreme back pressure. That said I switched over from Raptors to this and never looked back. It's more robust and I personally notice better gas mitigation. Most of your gas will not be from your gas tube, it will be straight down your bore so that said 'eliminating gas face' is dependent on other factors, such as not using crap ammo that could smoke out a beehive. Comparing apples to apples though, decent ammo, balanced gun, you will notice a difference as I did. After long days of shooting I've even wiped off some mild carbon build up from charging handle's port so I know it works. Barrel length and rate of fire matter. Anything over 16" and you will be happy. On my 10.5 or 9" SBRs I would have to smoke out my can before I smoked out my face with my guns, meaning, go 4 or more mag dumps of 5.56 out of a 10.5 before I needed to clear the air. Normally I do not do such shooting. I shoot alot just not mag dumps. Basically it does work, and is probably one of the highest quality handles available but it can be overwhelmed so don't expect miracles. Even if you are not shooting suppressed I would recommend this handle because it's construction is awesome. One added feature is if you want you can swap out the wings for short wings which would be great on small guns to eliminate snag points. All in all a very very good product. There is a reason I have one in each gun. I run this charging handle on a 16" precision AR, and a 10.5 SBR and a 9" 300 BLK SBR all suppressed 99% of the time.
