Great improvement for my SCAR!
This rail system really made a huge ergonomic improvement in my Scar. I usually shoot suppressed, and adding a can at the end of your rifle, really makes it front-heavy. When you hold a Scar with factory rail, you arm is more bent back, using more of your bicep.
Holding in this manner will quickly produce aiming wobble.
By being able to extend your support arm out farther (thanks to the new rail space) you are able to use more of your shoulder muscles. This greatly improves stability and the length of time you can hold that stability.
Having M-LOK compatibility is great too!
Also, I really like the "step-down" portion at the front of the rail, perfect for a weapon light!
My only criticisms are minor.
1) How about a simple 1-page diagram/instruction sheet be included in the box instead of having to watch the video? The rail is easy to install, the video is nice, but a simple one-page sheet would have been even nicer as I could have had it laying on my bench.
2) The video points out that the bolt on the bottom rail is loc-tited in and you need heat to remove. They neglected to mention that the screws that hold the front loop sling attachment are *also* loctited. You don't need to remove that piece to install the rail, unless you are also installing the excellent Kinetic Development QD plate - which I was. So if you are going to do that, be sure and heat those bolts too.
They do provide a little packet of vibra-tite and warn you to be sure and use it on all bolts being installed.
So far, I have had no problems and I believe this rail system is worth the price.
