This is for my first AR15 build. Reviews were great and receiver is awesome and is of great quality. It's so light I thought it was an empty package. I quickly open to verify and sure enough it was in there. Simply amazing. Tatical Link's service is also great. Shipment notification was within the same day and was delivered fast in two days. Would ship with again.... actually already have.

I finally completed my build with this upper receiver and it has quickly become my favorite AR. The upper is light weight, looks great and went together perfectly with my B.A.D. edition Switch rail. Turn around time from Tactical Link was short, will definitely make future purchases from them, thanks guys!

AR15 upper receiver from BAD ends up being exactly what you would hope for. An aesthetically pleasing and elegant union with the matching lower, the upper is lightweight billet that is solid and precisely milled. There does seem to be a very minor slop between the upper and matched lower, though this could be trouble with pins. There were zero hinderances to assembly of the upper portion of the rifle build. Bottom line, this is a quality piece of hardware that delivers thoughtful, artful lines that complement almost any style of AR one would wish to build and simultaneously delivering top notch functional quality. This is beautiful hardware. Bravo.

Am just amazed by the quality of BAD products. Purchased the upper and the lower. Extremely light weight. Tactical Link shipped very fast, will purchase from again.

If your already considering this upper for your next build because you like the look or just want to shave a few ounces, then look no further!! Battle Arms has turned design and manufacturing into artwork of the highest craftsmanship. This upper looks amazing from every angle! The only gripe I could see, is the partial slot down the center of the top rail that doesn't blend smoothly with a floating rail, but honestly I never even noticed it after mounting an optic.

Building my Ultralight rifle started with the foundational choice of the upper/lower set and I chose the BAD556 over the Balios Lite initially. The design of the BAD556 receiver set is worth the less than one ounce of difference in the two for me. My strongest complaint is that the top rail will not give you a monolithic look because of the double rung at the barrel nut. When you go to align your free floated handguard and need an optic mount to hold the gaurd and the upper in line this initially presented a problem when I mounted my Balios Lite handgaurd. Be aware of this if you are intending on mounting anything across the two rails, the rungs will not allow it.
