Ferfrans Gen 2 CQB Muzzle Brake Mount + Concussive Reduction Device For AR15 Style 5.56/.223 Rifles

The new Gen 2 Ferfrans CQB System is a 2 part system consisting of the performance Muzzle Brake Mount (MBM), crush washer, and the Concussive Reduction Device (CRD), which features a built in quick attach / detach mechanism. This system allows you to run your gun with all the benefits of an efficient brake/compensator reducing muzzle rise. When the need arises, simply attach the CRD via its quick detach mechanism and it redirects the percussion forward making it suitable for prone, CQB, out of vehicles or on a crowded range.

The main differences between the Gen1 and Gen 2:

- the Gen 2 muzzle brake mount now accepts the OSS suppressor as well as the CRD

- the diameter of the Gen 2 is smaller to match most hand guards

- the Gen 2 is significantly lighter

- more holes in the Gen 2 CRD body for improved control in full auto
- the Gen 2 is now made in the USA

- the Gen 2 connector now uses reverse threads instead of the Gen 1 locking lugs because of complaints that after firing several rounds the locking lugs got frozen with carbon deposits and was difficult to remove

- the Gen 2 connector is easier to remove the CRD

The total weight of the system combined is 8.2 ounces. This item is not a suppressor. It is a muzzle brake with a separate shroud (CRD). The purchase of this item does not require a tax stamp.

I absolutely love this device. I have a 10.5 PSA and needed something to keep it steady on target, this did more than I could ask. Without the shield, expect everyone to stop what they are doing and look at you, lol. With the shield, let the blowtorch blow. I love it!

Great product

This muzzle device is all you need to reduce recoil plus it looks sweet with that blast shield. I was very unhappy with my bro spec 15 out of the box. This muzzle device plus piston kit made that garbage black rain spec 15 rifle so much better. Almost no recoil and no gas in my face. I don't regret coughing up that money to improve what black rain ordinance screws with their trash rifles. Thank you tactical link for the great service and product!

Great Product

Can't wait to get this mounted on a 5.56 Rifle as I have seen many positive reviews as to the CQB's effectiveness. Product arrived securely packaged, and shipping was insanely fast. works great

the ferfrans CRD is a very well made device i come from a machining background and can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this device, The compensator works nearly as well as a surefire break (which is the best break i have ever used) and the shield works very good at redirecting the concussion and blast away from you or your teammates.

Good product. Does what it says

It's very well made and looks cool. The muzzle brake is very effective though less so with the shield installed but still more effective than no brake at all. The shield is absolutely awesome at greatly reducing blast/noise to the sides and rear. Good product.

AWESOME

This device is by far the best I've ever tried. I use it on my Daniel Def. and Sig 556. I chose this one after trying 2 others in the same price & performance range. I kept this one and one other, but this is my fav.

Q: Everywhere else I check, it says this item is discontinued by the manufacturer(Strike Industries). How is it that you are getting new ones?

A: There is no connection between Ferfrans and Strike Industries - 2 separate companies. Strike Industries has nothing to do with this product made by Ferfrans. We've successfully carried and sold this Ferfrans product (Gen 1 and Gen 2) for years. We just a new shipment in from FERFRANS yesterday.
