Geissele Automatics Super 42 Braided Wire Carbine Buffer Spring & H1 Buffer Combo Kit For AR15 Style 5.56/.223 Rifles

The Geissele Super 42 Spring was designed to improve the function and reliability of your AR15 pattern rifle. Its unique spring design uses three independent strands of wire, just like the German MG42 Machine Gun. This concept acts as a harmonic damper and energy absorber by allowing the springs to flex separately from each other. This flex helps displace excess energy which decreases the chance of spring failure and assists with making your AR15 more reliable.

Compared to the stock spring, the Geissele Super 42 Spring has a decreased tendency to lose length and force over a given round count. As an added bonus, it removes the annoying spring reverberations (twang) heard and felt by the shooter through the buttstock. The Super 42 Spring has a 15% stronger average return force than the standard buffer spring. This will assist in stripping rounds out of the magazine when operating with a dirty weapon or when using steel case ammo.

The Super 42 is not compatible with rifle length or A5 buffer tubes/receiver extensions. Geissele does not recommend the Super 42 with 300 Blackout subsonic ammunition. The Super 42 Spring may be too powerful and not allow the rifle to function properly.

The Super 42 Spring and Geissele buffer are designed to work together as a set; the spring will not fit over a standard buffer. If installed with a standard buffer damage to the rifle or receiver extension will occur. The Super 42 is compatible with carbine length buffer tubes. The Geissele Super 42 Spring and Buffer Combination ships in the standard H1 configuration. The H1 and Braided Wire Spring works well in 18 inch SPRs, 16 inch rifles with mid-length or carbine gas systems and some 14.5 inch rifles. Most 14.5 inch rifles would benefit from the H2 Buffer. Weapons with barrels shorter than 14.5 inch will need some testing with H2 or H3 buffer combinations to prove out which is most reliable. We sell additional Tungsten weights to convert the H1 all the way to an H3 if needed.

Q: AR pistol, 5.56mm with 8.5" barrel. I'm wanting to add an SB3 brace. It currently has a slip on brace that moves around too much. I'm a bit confused on what I need to accomplish this.

Q: Hello: I have an AR 15 Pistol with 7.5" barrel. I have a big issue with double feed. I changed BCG 2 times and the issues still. I read that the buffer and sprig could be the issue, This combo 42 braided fits my Ar pistol ?
