JP Rifles Alternate Spring Pack (5 Spring Weights) For Silent Captured Buffer Spring For AR15 Style 5.56/.223 Rifles

The Alternate Spring Pack for the JP Silent Captured Buffer Spring allows custom tuning of the device to a given rifle. While the default spring installed in the Silent Captured Buffer Spring is selected to offer the best performance for the widest range of configurations, simple disassembly and reassembly of the Silent Captured Buffer Spring with a slightly different spring rate can yield truly optimized performance, particularly for rifles without an adjustable gas block.

Selecting A Spring
In selecting a spring for your rifle, install a heavier spring if you feel the buffer head fully compress and bottom out while firing the weapon. If the bolt carrier will not lock back reliably on the last round fired, even when completely gassed (in the case of an adjustable gas block), select a lighter spring.

In particular, if you have an Enhanced Battery Assist Lever (or any other similar device) installed on your weapon, the extra mass of that lever on the bolt catch, in combination with the faster bolt velocity using the Silent Captured Buffer Spring with a heavier spring, may cause the bolt to ride over the catch before it has time to engage. In this case, a lighter spring should remedy the problem.

The included springs from lightest to heaviest are listed below with the color with which they are coded:
- JPSCS-SPRING15-80: 1 side white
- JPSCS-SPRING15-85: 1 side black (closest to that of a normal carbine buffer spring)
- JPSCS-SPRING15-90: 1 side green
- JPSCS-SPRING15-95: 1 side yellow
- JPSCS-SPRING15-100: no color
To Further Reduce or Eliminate Recoil

A refined recoil spring such as the Silent Captured Buffer Spring is merely one piece of the Recoil Mitigation Package, designed to reduce and/or eliminate recoil, and is comprised of the following components:
- An adjustable gas block and/or an adjustable gas key
- A low mass bolt carrier group
- A tuned buffer spring
- A lightweight buffer
