JP Rifles High Pressure Enhanced Bolt Assembly With Chromium Nitride Finish For AR Style 7.62/.308 Rifles

This bolt assembly is compatible with the JP LRP 07 and the DPMS LR 308 platforms (or clones thereof) only and can not be used to replace bolts in the Armalite AR10 platform (or clones thereof). This bolt uses a specialized firing pin that is not compatible with other bolts nor can it use standard .308 firing pins.

WARNING: the JP .308HP bolt does not allow for the use of excessive pressure, overloaded ammunition that exceeds SAAMI specifications. When evaluating new ammunition, always start on the low to mid range of any published load data and work up. A good indicator of working pressure is the primer retention on the subsequent loading of a case. A noticeable loss of primer pocket tension indicates that your ammunition has excessive pressure and has overworked the case.

Q: Does the JP Enterprises High Pressure bolt designed to fit DPMS LR-308 rifles or is it for a true Mil Spec AR-10? I have a true AR-10 Mil Spec rifle and would like to try a high pressure bolt.

Q: Will this bolt work in a LWRCI REPR in .308? Also I am building a .260 Remington and using a Tool Craft BCG with a Proof Research Carbon fiber barrel which PR recommends this bolt. I’m I good with the BCG?

A: We've asked JP Rifles for a response. JP said they didn't know for sure. They emailed LaRue. JP is still waiting to hear back from LaRue. If we get any more responses we'll let you know. Thanks for the inquiry.

A: The following response is from JP Rifles:
I wish I had an official answer for you, but I have not had a Larue rifle in house for some time so I have not been able to have one of my engineers check compatibility. I can find lots of posts on various forums where people say they are running the JP Enhanced High Pressure bolt in their Larue, but that isn't good enough for me to provide an official compatibility statement. I have sent an Email into Larue again but they did answer my last Email so I don't have a ton of faith that they will respond to this Email either. Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: Is the firing pin hole smaller on this bolt to reduce excess pressure from 6.5 creedmore factory ammo which blows primers in ar10 rifles. 8541 tractical said he used this because it can handle the ammo. Thanks .
