Odin Works XMR 2 Extended Magazine Release

bought 2 for both my ar 15's quick and easy install before I had to move my hand to get to the mag release now I don't have to finger off trigger mag release right there

Bought one to replace the standard mag release button on my complete Aero Precision lower. This was my first AR build, more like assemble really since the lower was built already, but I was eager to work on it. Putting this part on was a breeze. Yes there are no instructions that comes with it. It just comes in a little bag with all the necessary parts to install and an Allen key. But a quick search on Google will land you on a ton of how-to videos and such. Overall I love the functionality of this extended mag release with the looks to go with it. It doesn't have the wobble on my setup like what others have said, but it did make the "throw" of the button shallower before releasing the mag. Might be an issue to some but I don't mind it.

I saw this at a local gun shop and immediately thought that it was not only a clever idea but really adds to the functionality of the gun for such a small price. Im a Left handed shooter and even though the item was not a neccesity for me , it just feels right everytime you push the button. You arent looking for a small button any more, your feeling for a smooth tab that forms to the thumb. It doesnt get in the way or get caught on anything. Its practical. Im all about comfort when I shoot, wether it be combat , training for something or just shooting for fun. I let my buddy who is right handed shoot a couple mags and he loved it. He was able to detent the mag release with his trigger finger ( right hand ) and immediatly transition from the barrel straight to his kit with his left hand. Shaved a bit of time off his reloads. This item will absolutely no questions asked be placed on every AR I own.

I ordered this item by mistake. After receiving it, I decided to try it and found hat I liked it, so I kept it. After the very simple install I found it quite easy to release my Mags by feel. The extension doesn't extend a lot, just enough and it clears my Bolt assist enough to not get in the way. I can operate either without interference. The Quality is quite good too. This is not a must have item, but it makes using the AR a little simpler to use. Once you try it, you won't want to be without it.

This extended mag release has a great finish omit and is machined great. Once attached found it to be comfortable and intuitive.

I got the xmr 2 in the red color, the color & finish is excellent. Looks great on my ar 15 and there was no issue with fitting even with my cnc anti pivot pins. Very easy install. A great add on for the firearm.

You don't have to have small hands to appreciate a bit more surface when it comes to hitting the mag release. My reload time went down just by adding this mag release extension it just makes it easier to find. Looks aren't everything but it does give the weapon some character too. I also have the Tactical Link Enhanced Battery Assist Lever and the two help a lot with reloading. I am very happy with these AR upgrades!

I installed on my Bushmaster AR,Much easier to change out mags,The additional clearance is a definite plus when using coupled mags.Also the speedy service was greatly appreciated.

Install was a 5 min job.I have anti rotation pins and didn't grind a thing. The button has ample adjustment to compensate for clearance issues.very nice looking and your finger finds the button very nicely. Along with the bad lever it makes mag changes quicker and easier .very good product.

Acquired this item for the same SBR build (not finished) mentioned in another review so have not had the opportunity to check it out at the range. Given design and construction I experienced with examination and handling of the item received I'm confident this small upgrade coupled with the Tactical Link battery assist device (when they become available again) will greatly enhance a shooter's experience with magazine changes/immediate actions to clear malfunctions.
