Q: What’s the difference between the $94 sling and this $104 sling that look exactly the same. Product video is the same too. Just wondering what the upgrade is?

Asked by: M Atwood - 5/17/2024
A: Without knowing exactly which 2 products your inquiring about I'm going to guess that the $10 price difference is one is a bungee model and the other is a non bungee model? Please let us know if this is not the case or provide us with the 2 different SKU's. Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: Regarding. your 2-1 convertible sling with bungee, I have one I bought from you quite some time ago. Great kit! In light of certain political currents regarding pistol variants of MSRs I'm considering one to replace any "shoulderABLE" braces (I believe any such restrictions will be held unconstitutional, but in the meantime..). I have several such pistols, none AR-based. I have a Galil Ace 8" in 7.62X39, an Sig MCX in 8.3'in 300 BO and an Sig MPX K 4.5" in 9mm. My question is if you believe there is sufficient adjustability in your current production versions of these slings to accommodate such platforms, using the sling to carry them fairly tight, but stabilizing them by pushing them out front enough to utilize the bungee feature to help improve their stability in use without excessive strain as such degrades accuracy (not that much precise accuracy is required for their design envelope). Thank you!

Asked by: Lawrence Root - 11/12/2022
A: Lawrence, due to the 2 sections of elastic added to the bungee model (vs the non bungee model) the bungee model is significantly longer than the non bungee model and for this reason you should find that the bungee model does indeed have enough adjustability to accommodate those weapons in the manner of use described. Thanks for the inquiry,

Q: Will this work on the sig cross? My sling point is all the way at the butt.

Asked by: Seth Lang - 6/6/2022
A: Any single point sling works best when connected to the weapon at a centralized location i.e. directly behind the lower receiver under the buffer tube. Not sure how it would work all the way back at the buttstock, but probably not ideally.

Asked by: Mzviv - 10/17/2021
A: This sling requires a QD sling mount at the front and towards the rear of the rifle.

Q: It sounds like this sling is not a complete package and have to buy separate attachments for it to even work. Is this true? I'm confused on what I need to buy for this to work or is there a complete package I am not seeing?

Asked by: Josh - 7/22/2020
A: Josh, when you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (a complete package) you need bread, peanut butter, and jelly. Most slings are similar in that a sling is only the sling, which is what this product is - one component of a complete package. With there being so many sling mounting options these days (MLOK, keymod, mash hook, etc.) we left the sling to be customizable by you to your specific needs. We recommend, in addition to the sling (only one component of a complete package), that you obtain a good quality QD sling mount (another component of a complete package) for the front of your rifle and a good quality QD sling mount (another component of a complete package) for the rear of your rifle. Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: New AR15 owner. I need a tactical sling, but I am unsure of what other products or mounts are required to make this sling work on my rifle.

Asked by: Kurt Sherwood - 1/1/2020
A: If your rifle does not have any QD sling mounts (OEM or aftermarket) you will need one QD sling mount for the front of the rifle and one QD sling mount for the rear of the rifle.
Here is an example of a QD sling mount for the front of the rifle: http://www.tacticallink.com/Picatinny-Rail-Sling-Mount.html
Here is an example of a QD sling mount for the rear of the rifle: https://www.tacticallink.com/Z-360-Sling-Mount-GEN-2.html

Q: Does this fit with any AR-15 or only the Scar? Would I need to purchase anything additional to make any AR-15 style rifle work?

Asked by: Jess - 11/24/2019
A: Jess, it looks like someone copied information from a scar convertible sling and pasted it into the AR convertible sling. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll fix this right away.

The Tactical Link Convertible Bungee QD Tactical Sling For AR15 Style Rifles is compatible with any rifle (including AR15s, SCARs, AR10s, shotguns, etc.) - the sling converts from a 2 point bungee sling to a single point bungee sling and includes two (2) heavy duty 1.25 inch swivel connectors. Requires QD sling mounts at the front and rear of the weapon which are sold separately.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: Can I configure this sling and hardware to fit my Springfield Armory Saint Edge Pistol? Not sure what to use on the "Arm Brace" for your QD hardware.

Asked by: robert - 10/15/2019
A: Yes, the Tactical Link Convertible Bungee QD Tactical Sling For AR15 Style Rifles could be configured to fit your Springfield Armory Saint Edge Pistol. As a recommendation, you might want to consider the use of the X-180 Sling Mount instead of any hardware on the "Arm Brace". Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: I am interested in the convertible bungee sling. I saw note about chest size, I am 5’8” tall and have. 39 inch chest. I saw the note about 44 “ would be lagge. I like my at to ride high. Is there any way to shorten. My self or will you make a smaller size. Please let me know your thoughts. Tks John

Asked by: John Lentz - 3/21/2018
A: At 39" for a chest circumference you would not be happy with this sling as the bungee sections simply add too much length to enable your rifle to ride high and tight. Your best bet would be to purchase the Tactical Link Convertible QD Tactical Sling For AR15 Style Rifles, the NON bungee model. Thanks for the inquiry.

Q: Retired LEO with questions. So basically you have to pay extra for the mount to attach this to your AR? And would imagine it would not function properly with the existing quick release points on the rear side of my Daniel Defense? Do you offer the setup with mounts included in price?

Asked by: Richard Ake - 11/3/2017
A: Richard, a lot of modern AR's have QD sling mounts integrated into the forend/rail (front) and as well as toward the rear (either in the lower receiver or in the stock). If your weapon does not already have QD sling mounts (either integrated or aftermarket) then you will need to obtain some QD sling mounts. Without seeing your rifle, I'm not sure why you feel (and state) the sling would not "function properly with the existing quick release points on the rear side of my Daniel Defense". Yes, we do offer a Combo Kit that has a front sling mount, a rear sling mount, and the sling (with both QD swivel connectors) and can be found here: http://www.tacticallink.com/Black-Ops-Bungee-Sling-Combo-Kit.html
