The Tactical Link Shot Mod® QD Sling Mount is an ambidextrous QD sling mount exclusively designed for use with Remington 870 shotguns. The Shot Mod Mount is CNC machined from of a solid brick of stainless steel and sits between the receiver and stock (adds 1/2 inch length of pull). Includes a longer threaded extension (so you do not need a longer screw) that is also made from stainless steel.

While the Shot Mod QD Sling Mount was made and designed for the Remington 870 line of shotguns, the Shot Mod Sling Mount is also compatible with the Remington Tac 14. It is not compatible with Knoxx stocks. 100% made in USA.

The perfect QD mount

Tactical Link processed my online order of a QD sling mount for my 870 within hours of placing it and it arrived via USPS in a few short days. It took all of 10 minutes to fully install this cool little mount. It was exactly what I was looking for in a QD single point mount, fully integrated into the stock, QD attaches securely, and does not interfere with my VCS side saddle. While in the upper range of what I would spend on a sling mount, this is a quality mount and I am a happy customer and recommend this product.

Not a common accessory.

I have been looking for something JUST like this. I have a Remington 870 with a wood stock. It was great but I always felt it could have a little smaller LOP. Tried all kinds of stocks (including adjustable) but that made it look a little to "Rambo" for me personally. They just didn't feel right. Went with a Hogue (12" LOP) but that was too short. Don't know HOW I happened across this little gem. Very well designed and by adding another 1/2" to the LOP it made bringing my 870 to bear much more smoothly. Pretty much close to perfect. Yes I could have went with a custom shortened wood stock (which was my next step), but after finding this, I liked the idea of having a QD capability so I married it to a front QD mount from another manufacturer (sorry TL). This is a SOLID well made piece that fits me just right. Price point is quite high, but TL does not skimp on the quality or fit. Well done TL!!!

Great Idea

I recently purchased this for my 870. Too bad it doesn't work with the Blackhawk Knoxx Stock. the only reason I say that is due to the fact that I'm a small guy, the length of pull is a little long for me. I'm used to my 14" Benelli. It's just a training issue for me, but the quality and functionality of Tactical Link products is still what I have become accustomed to over the years.

-Shot- Mod is a Winner!

I ordered my Shot-Mod during business hours and Tactical Link shipped the order via USPS the same day. A few days later I received my Shot-Mod. The Shot-Mod did not fit my Remington 870 perfectly but it was very close. I replaced my factory Remington butt stock with a Hogue 12" length of pull butt stock. The Shot-Mod fit the Hogue stock perfectly the Shot-Mod gave me the extra 1/2 length of pull I needed. The Shot-Mod will come with an extension nut so that the butt stock bolt will reach the back of the receiver. In my case it was impossible to remove the factory bolt with common hand tools to install the new longer nut. An air impact running on low air pressure will easily remove the factory nut. You'll need a 1/2 impact socket for the job. I wrapped the receiver with a towel and clamped it my bench vise with a thin piece of wood on each side of the receiver so that the jaws on the vise would not mar the finish on the gun. In two seconds the factory nut was removed.
