The V7 Weapon Systems Lightweight AR15 Carbine Buffer Tube has all the extra weight machined out, which brings the weight down to only 3.5 oz and is the lightest and highest quality buffer tube (receiver extension) you will find on the market today. This mil-spec diameter buffer tube features 6 position adjustments and is KG Gear Koted inside and out for extra protection, lubricity, and longevity, and is backed by the V7 Weapon Systems lifetime warranty.

High quality product

The buffer tube is well made and finished. The scallop cuts are different. I'm not sure they're much lighter than other choices, but I've used them on a couple builds and am satisfied with the tubes.

V7 Buffer Tube

I've used these on two builds now and I like them. Light weight and strong. I've had a Magpul MOE, CTR, & STR on it; as well as a Daniel Defense stock and all fit secure and snug.

If your building a lightweight AR this receiver extension tube is a must. The fit and finish of this part is excellent. Combined with the minimal stock of your choice and the lightweight castle nut and end plate and your set!

Super light buffer tube

Mated this to a 2A armament Balios light lower receiver. Fantastic fit and finish, I almost hate to cover it with a butt stock. If you want lightweight, this is the way to go.

Not all that light--Don't buy for a lightweight build

Not all that light. 109 gm. Most buffer tubes I weight are about this weight. Ultimate Arms has a one that is less than 100 gm. So I knocked em down due to the expectation of very light weight and high cost. As I have found from V7, they make very nice equipment, with excellent fit and finish. So if you want a very nice, very high quality buffer tube, you can't go wrong. I really like the look of the scallops too. But light? No. This is of average weight at best. Actually, if I checked, it might be that this is one of the heavier buffer tubes, so this is a disappointment.
