V7 Weapon Systems Lightweight Aluminum Castle Nut For AR15 Style 5.56/.223 Rifles - Black

Manufactured from a super aluminum alloy for strength, rigidity and weight reduction, the Lightweight Castle Nut offers a lightweight replacement upgrade to the heavier steel castle nut. The Lightweight Castle Nut is 30% stronger and harder than 7075 T6 and is built to mil spec dimensions. At only 6.7 grams, the Lightweight Castle Nut weighs approximately 62% less than its heavier steel mil spec counterpart.

The V7 Weapon Systems' castle nut is 100% corrosion resistant with its material and weighs only 9.7 grams. It has a hole drilled on the side that allows the castle nut to be installed / tightened with a single point hook style wrench found on most AR multi tools. Recommended torque is 25 FT LB. Also available as a combo kit with the V7 Weapon Systems Titanium Ultralight QD Receiver End Plate.

Most of my lower parts kits are all V7 parts. They are by far the best lightweight manufacturer.

Super Light

Super light but strong. So light that it feels like it almost fake. But the quality is exceptional. Great for light weight builds that require a castle nut, some of the newer light weight receivers don't need them.

lightweight build

using this castle nut along with a bunch of v7 products for a super lightweight build. I've never noticed the difference between parts until i started gathering them for this build. V7 has some seriously quality parts.

The best castle nut I've used

V7 Weapon Systems Lightweight Aluminum Castle Nuts are the best I've used. As with all V7 parts, this part is defined by it's light weight, amazing anodizing, and it's sleek look. I've talked with the Owner of V7 on a professional and personal level. He's not just in it for money, he wants to change the AR-15. He believes you don't have to sacrifice weight and quality to have good looking designs. Which is why I don't use mil-spec parts anymore on my builds anymore. V7 Castle nut paired with the V7 QD End Plate is my favorite way to outfit my receiver extensions. I even use them on AR pistol builds. Always 5 stars with V7 Weapon Systems.
