V7 Weapon Systems Ultra Light Port Door & Rod Combo Kit - Enlarged End

Port door fits perfectly on V seven enlightened upper and looks great too. Good quality product with flawless finish.

This is my second v7 port door, the first i purchased was for a billet upper with a closed hinge, and this one was for a forged upper with an open hinge on both sides. The door is very nice and clean, and makes a noticeable difference in appearance compared to a standard port door. This looks very nice on any rifle that has flat surfaces, such as an mlok rail. More than the door itself, the port door rod simplifies installation. you just install like normal, but the enlarged diameter portion of the rod prevents the rod from slipping through to the rear of the rifle, and cannot slip to the front because any barrel nut will prevent it, holding it in place. very simple and elegant design, and noticeable lighter than a standard door.

Finally time for someone to update the look of the weird stamped steel port door. This is quality machined aluminum with a high quality finish that perfectly matched my Noveske upper and would look great on slick-sided rifles.

What an upgrade. Building my AR and only want the best. I have three items from V7 and all are high quality. I have serious OCD so everything I get is researched extensively before I order. When it arrives (which is does quickly thanks Tact Link) ist looked at with a magnifying glass. It's lightweight, fits perfectly and looks even better. Pricey but worth it to ME, highly recommend.

This is the second V7 port door I have purchased for builds and my first through Tactical Link. V7 is famous for their low weight parts and this is no exception, however it was the sleek, modern design that hooked me. I had concerns about the finish of the door face holding up when opening and contacting the upper as this does not have the lug that the standard door has. This far it still looks new. V7 did not have these parts in stock so they pointed me to Tactical Link. Shipping was incredibly fast and I am quite please.

Beautiful and lightweight as promised! I decided against using it on my super light build because I didn't like the look of smooth door when mounted to my Battle Arms billet upper. I instead went with the Strike Industries enhanced polymer dust cover. I decided to save the V7 for another project. Both the full V7 door/rod kit and the polymer Strike Ind door weighed in at 12 grams on my scale, so no weight advantage either way. FYI the strike dust cover retails for about $15 and can be installed with out removing your rail.
