V7 Weapon Systems Ultra-Light Port Door Rod With Enlarged End For AR15 Style 5.56/.223 Rifles

Manufactured for strength, rigidity and weight reduction, the Ultra-Light Port Door Rod offers a modern upgrade in both design and appearance to the heavier mil-standard port door rod.

The V7 Weapon Systems Ultra-Light Port Door Rod is hard coat anodized, making it corrosion resistant and approximately 1/3 the weight of the mil-standard steel rod. The Port Door Rod weighs only 0.0776027 oz / 2.2 grams and does not require a c-clamp.

We recommend using this product in conjunction with the V7 Weapon Systems Port Door. The Port Door Rod is not a retrofit part and must be installed prior to barrel nut assembly. Note: the PDR-1 rod is compatible only with upper receivers that have a through-hole for the rear part of the port door rod support. The stainless port door spring may be black in color or raw stainless depending upon what V7 supplies us.
